Busy Day

This is a busy time of year and there was lots to do this weekend and then I added one more thing. I purchased this desk from a coworker and we picked it up yesterday. I am so happy because not only is it a lot bigger than the one I was using, it is a beautiful piece of furniture. It was made in the early  1900's by her uncle. A simple design made of solid oak. I have not figured everything out yet but I just love it.

It is definitely a larger area of working space. On my old desk, my computer was over the top of my working sheet and then my stamping pad was covered with my scrap box and this photo doesn't even show the pen box I use now. It was getting pretty crowded. I am so thankful for the new space and this week the top 5 are:

1. Room to create
2. Beautiful winter days
3. Putting up Christmas decorations
4. Spending time with the family remembering old memories
5. Looking forward to more opportunities to grow into my art

Sunday Life

Feeling very mixed up today. I realize I am a California Kid, I love the sunshine. Today's weather was predicted to be stormy and rainy but God had better plan; it is sunny and beautiful. As for me, feeling pressure from work and financial issues. Emotions are a little edgy. So when I feel like this, I usually put my art and personal expression away. Been doing that for the most part of the last few weeks. I did make some Valentine treats last Sunday but just not feeling myself. Again God has better plan! I LOVE SUNDAYS. I needed a little extra faith today and God took care of that with the beautiful sky and white puff clouds. When He provides beauty, He knows how to do it right! So all that negativity I have been keeping in needs to go. I really need to remember that I can do that through my art expression. I will create something today. I am thankful for so much; Top 5

Sunday is a better day

What I love about Sunday is that I breath a little deeper, think a little broader, and love a little sweeter. Life can get to me some days and I may not feel like myself. However, on Sunday I try harder to make sure that doesn't happen. So I am switching my thankful list to Sunday. Fridays have become a little more crazy lately and I am not getting a post done. I have so much that I am thankful for but here today is the top FIVE.
