Sunday inspirations
It was a rainy day today and for most of the weekend. Spent time working on small projects and with the family. This is a card I completed this week. The daffodil stamp is a older stamp that I love to use. I have colored it several ways. I have used chalk, markers, and this time was ink with a blender pen. It is a more watercolor type look. Sponged the thank you tag and some on the flowers too. There is a small butterfly up on the left side. Wanted the card to have a nature feel so I used a mulberry paper for the background. This is a fun spring card. I have lots to be thankful for and the top 5 today are:
1. Rain that was needed
2. Daffodils
3. Sharing art design with my sister
4. New beginnings and keeping my hope up
5. Making cards for friends

Moody Monday
This Monday is not so moody for me.. I am staying home, took the day off. Plans are simple.. spend time on home stuff, bills, and work stuff. I then get to play! I want to work on some Christmas cards. And maybe a few more of these little cards. They are ones I give out with orders. Good things to have on hand.
A small little card, only 3 x 4. This one uses two sided paper. The stem is each side of the same paper. The card deck is created with a dry emboss polka dot. The flower center is a large brad.

Keeping constant
One of my traits is consistency; I joke about it and call it “Auto-pilot”. I can see it in this card. I have used the flowers and paper before. I realize that I like certain creative elements and feel confident to use them. Do you have a comfort creation? I think that is why I love to follow blogs; there are some artists that will create different pieces all the time and I enjoy seeing what they do.

Another card for staff
I do like to put colors together. I wanted the card to be soft but bright. It takes a steady hand to stamp those little letters. Thank goodness for the background stamps at least it helps a little.

Moody Monday
Yep it is monday again and I am thankful for all I have and what I am able to do. I find so much enjoyment in making cards and it will be something that I will want to do for a long time. I know I get grumpy about work but I will keep thinking of other options.. This simple card was easy to put together for my daughter to give.
Wishing all a good week.

Simple cards
Slipping in some art this week. I love to make simple cards. Daughter is going to a wedding and I made this card for her. It is a funny little one. I had fun creating the car with different pieces of card stock. Then created the cans with silver card stock and color paper for the labels. Tied them to the bumper with black crochet thread. Chalked in the sky and sun. Stamped the flowers, stems and the dirt road. Then for the final piece created a "Just Married" sign and taped to the car.
Then this is a little card made for a coworker. The paper had beautiful flowers and some gold glitter. I added some gold micro beads to the paper to give a little more texture. Using my cricut, I cut out a butterfly body. Then I covered it with the gold micro beads. Then created the antennas with wire and a bead curved in at the top. Simple but pretty.
